Keyboard Short Cuts
Workspace
- Ctrl+Z
- Restores the last deleted wire, cable, room zone, notes box, or component.
- Ctrl+C
- Copies the selected room zone or notes box.
- Ctrl+V
- Pastes the copied room zone or notes box onto the workspace.
- Esc
- Cancels placement, clears drafts, and clears the current component or wire selection.
- Ctrl+L
- Toggles the lock state for the current selection.
- Alt+C
- Cycles the selected wire colour, or centres the selected component in its placement cell.
- Alt+B
- Toggles end sleeving on the selected wire.
- Arrow keys
- Nudges the selected component, or moves the selected placement cell.
- Alt+Arrow keys
- Moves the selected component to the adjacent placement cell.
- Backspace
- Steps back one route while drawing a traced wire, or deletes the selected item.
- Alt+trace wire
- Temporarily uses diagonal wire routing while tracing; release Alt to return to horizontal and vertical routing.
- Delete
- Clears the active traced-wire draft, or deletes the selected item.
Mouse And Keyboard
- Ctrl+drag
- Starts a marquee selection when dragging from empty workspace space.
- Shift+drag
- Keeps a dragged placed component inside its current placement cell.
- Shift+terminal click
- Creates a multi-core cable between compatible terminals instead of a single wire.
- Alt+component click
- Duplicates the clicked component to the right when duplication is available.
Model Dialogs
- 1to9
- Selects a numbered model choice when a model-choice dialog is open.
- Enter
- Confirms the current model choice, or saves supported inline/setup edits.
- Esc
- Closes model-choice, model-input, and notes-header dialogs without applying changes.
Simple Electronics
- Alt+R
- Turns the selected part a quarter turn clockwise.
- Alt+Shift+R
- Turns the selected part a quarter turn anticlockwise.
- Alt+U
- Turns the selected part round, reconnecting its wires the other way.
Mock Exams
- Left arrow
- Moves to the previous question while a mock exam paper is open.
- Right arrow
- Moves to the next question while a mock exam paper is open.
- Esc
- Stops the browser Escape key from accidentally closing the mock exam window.
